Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026. This policy explains what information CarpathianPrints collects when you use carpathianprints.comand how we use it.
Who we are
CarpathianPrints is a fine-art print shop offering photographic prints of the Carpathian mountains. The site is operated by Jon Pulman (“we”, “us”). Contact:jon@jppropertyconsultancy.com.
What this site does today
The website is a catalogue of artworks and product information. Online checkout is not yet enabled. You can browse galleries and print pages without creating an account.
Information we collect
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive whatever you include in the message (for example your name, email address, and the content of your enquiry). We use that only to reply and handle your request.
Technical and usage data
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) may automatically receive standard server and request logs when you visit — for example IP address, browser type, pages requested, and approximate time of access. This is used for security, reliability, and basic traffic understanding. We do not sell this data.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not run advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels on this site today. Essential hosting and CDN cookies may be set by Netlify to deliver the site securely. If we add analytics, checkout, or similar tools later, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent.
When checkout opens
When you can place an order, we will collect the details needed to fulfil it (for example name, shipping address, email, and payment confirmation). Payment card data will be handled by our payment provider (planned: Stripe) — we will not store full card numbers on our own servers. Print fulfilment is planned via Prodigi, who will receive shipping and order details required to produce and deliver your print. Those providers process data under their own privacy terms as independent controllers or processors for that purpose.
How we use information
- To operate and secure the website
- To respond to messages you send us
- To fulfil orders and provide customer support (once checkout is live)
- To meet legal or accounting obligations where they apply
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the site or fulfil orders (for example hosting, payment, and print fulfilment), or when the law requires it.
Retention
Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. Server logs are retained according to our host’s normal practices. Order records (when checkout is live) will be kept as long as needed for fulfilment, support, and legal/tax requirements.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK GDPR / EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, emailjon@jppropertyconsultancy.com. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International transfers
Our host and some tools may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
Changes
We may update this policy as the shop grows (for example when checkout launches). The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
